good evening Anna I hope all is well. very good questions and hopefully I can answer them well enough not to waste anymore of your time. I have included a picture of a cavern with an opening that is similar to what I am shooting for.  The three wolves would be coming through the opening toward the characters. The gorge would be behind them which is where the dawn is coming through.

I have included two other images of cave Interiors that are multi-level and very uneven-irregular which allow for wolves to perch and partly hide behind. This will also provide a multidimensional setting where eyes would appear from various levels within the cavern.

I love the sunrise in the image you sent...you really make me think...it hurts to think this much... To capture the sunrise, part of the cavern, the hiding wolves, the characters, and the approaching wolves what do you think about this.

Say the viewer or audience is viewing the scene from one side of the cavern. They can see the sunrise on one side lighting up the cavern, various wolves hiding on the one side of the cavern, toto, Jim, and the manticore toward the center of the scene and the three wolves approaching toward the manticore. I suppose if you show all of this you also have to show Dorothy and Tee. I am attaching an image of Tee

In this scene, we need no text. Here is a description of the area where the sun would be coming through... so the area they land is the wide part of the amphitheater  where the sun comes in and it narrows where the wolves come in

Background….from the back of a jumberello the comrades and their captain are looking for a place to disembark -  an opening in a sheer mountainous wall of granite.  They land in a large half-dome shaped opening in the side of this sheer mountain.  So the area behind them is a fast opening that drops into a gorge and from the inside of this dome-like cave, looking back, all one can see is open sky, distant mountains, and jumberello.  The portions of the story detail the appearance of the cave. The characters that you might choose to show are Jim, Dorothy, Toto, and the Manticore. I can provide an image of the manticore I needed. What we want here is a spooky scene of the comrades awakening to eyes and shadowy ghostly images of wolves.  There are to be two scenes. One with text and one without. The one with uses the yellow highlight at the end of this document

Peeky,

thanks for the pictures of caves - that's really helpful.
I might seem not too smart, but I'm still not sure about the positioning of the characters. Sorry, I just want to be sure we are on the same page.
So I swiftly sketched two options for the composition (attached). Those are veeery rough and schematic, so I just hope it is possible to understand what they are about... The point is in where the viewer is - at one of the entrances, or watching the whole scene from aside. And if the positioning of the sun correct.

While I was working on Wizard Memory scene I also realized I am not sure if the Wizard should still have the spyglass at his eye or by the moment he has already managed to get rid of it and was watching the memories with both his eyes?

Thank you!

I think either one of your ideas will work and I will leave that up to you but....

The cave amphitheater needs to be enormous and the characters and the wolves much smaller.

The point of this image is more about the sensation of shock and surprise  about waking up to all of these ghostly glowing and ephemeral eyes - wondering what they are and then the sensation of fear as the sun slowly casts aside the shadows of night and the rest of the faces and various forms of wolves come into view and they realize they are surrounded with nowhere to go.

So the cave area needs to be large enough even if this means the characters are quite small, to show wolves eyes behind ridges and stalactites and mites above them and looking down upon them.

does this help...the images attached would be shown as the side or sides of the cavern

Peeky,

got it. Will do my best with the wolf scene!
Here please find attached the Wizard Memory scene drawing.

good morning Anna, if nothing else, your art has made me come to realize that I am not doing the best job or even close when it comes to describing what I am seeing in my brain. Having said this, I now realize that you will need to bill me more for this scene, because in essence, the whole of this scene combines a number of other very small scenes.

You surely have the right idea with the wizard in the gondola. And you did a great job with it also. In fact you did a good job with the wizard, but he still looks more anime than a drawing of a wizard.

OK, starting with the wizard, I have attached text that describes him looking a bit crazier. I would like the viewer to be looking into his eyes, one of them being the bulging image through the spyglass and the other - open or closed (your call) and his expression being that highlighted in yellow, wretched, twisted countenance, and painfully miserable. His body language should also reflect either his strain of pulling at the spyglass where it twists his face or perhaps the body language of rage.

The background (so you are going to have to show him as kind of smaller to get the other scenes in) is dark and stormy - also hilited...

Then there are the other scenes which I have colored text. These can be spaced about as you like, but probably should be kept in the order that they appear in and ending with the wizard in the gondola with the shadow beast. (the shadow beast should have misty foggy facial features).

Please feel free to bill me for your time that this has taken you out of your way and if there is an extra charge for these mini scenes within this scene, give me a heads up. For what it is worth - you have the idea down pat and I think it will look great.

The woman whose face does not appear in the mini-scenes...you can show her as tall and slim with dark hair, but not her face. Plz hide all other body parts (hands, arms, legs...as there is a twist in the story that is too long to explain...text and image attached. Thank u

Greetings Peeky

Ok, I will redo the Wizard, that's fine.
About the additional billing for the memory scenes - let me first do them, it can take much of my time, yes, but basically, the only character of the scene is Wizard without a detailed background, so I would consider his memories as a predictable part of the whole scene. So let me first do the scene and then decide if that worth any additional costs or not. Does that sound fair?

So, you want the Wizard to look directly at the viewer, correct?
Also, you said "text and image attached", but there was only text, no image. I believe I need the image of the woman for reference?

Now please find attached the wolves scene. It might not look impressive enough now, but I believe the main point will be in colors, shadows, sunlight and glowing eyes (looks like a real challenge to me, but I already have a certain idea in my mind). So tell me if you are fine with the drawing in general.

Thank you!

Giving this some more thought....If you need to shrink the scene/setting so that hiding wolves only eyes and faces show well in the scene, I have no problem with that even though it would be less wolves.  You know if I ask for something and it does not work, I will always compensate you for the extra time.

Peeky, please find attached the wolves scene in color. Still needs some refinement, but I want you to tell me if I am on the right way.

Thank you!

Hell yes!!! looks great.  In the final - do your best to make the charters and wolves appear as if drawn or photographed - realistic...like your other wolf in the valley. Excellent job.  You can have more sunrise if you like and it can light a path through the cave or light up the floor - but you did well with shadows and the entire image. Excellent.

Peeky, thank you!
Will finish the wolves shortly.

So far please look at my try on Wizard Memory scene. (I skipped the memory with the ring as 6 memories seem too much for the image: they get too small and messy to my opinion.)
Tell me if that's closer to what you are looking for.

I think it is great - some comments...

The unknown lady  - she is dark skinned but we do not want that to show so in two of the scenes where her arms are exposed - show with long gloves or hide in some way - possibly hair over hands in one - your call.

The cloud creature. What you show is enough but its misty appearance needs to be otherworldly, nebulous - slightly or parts of it translucent...(I think you have that) and it needs to have evil eyes or things that hint of eyes. (I love the way you dropped off its face and body - into nothingness. But what you choose to show as a mouth or expression should be evil,  wicked, treacherous or conniving, or sinister other facial features or a lack of them.

In the kaleidoscope possibly show the outer outline of the eye so that it is apparent an eye.

All of the memories are fine and I think the characters will look realistic upon completion.

I still have concerns about the wizard appearing less realistic. Please review the faces that were provided with Fu Manchu and braided beard..incorporate those and if you copy the face it will look just fine.  You can use one of the other faces if you want to replicate a different mouth or expression.

Excellent Job Anna!

Peeky,
please find Greeted by Wolves scene attached.

I will try my best with the Wizard face. You say "Please review the faces that were provided with Fu Manchu and braided beard" - can you please repeat the file for me to be sure what you refer to?

Thank you!

So I copied the Wizard's face from the references. Please see how it works.

Looks Great  - a couple more changes. I would rather you bill me and be frustrated than just being frustrated...

The queen needs to be black - afro American as we like to say over here...

Also - the creature. I am attaching two pics.  please replace the current creature face with a wispy face using the attached creature image.

Instead of completing the bottom of the mouth and face, let it just whisk away into nothingness or mist...I am attaching the second image to explain what I mean. you need not copy the second image, it is merely to show you how the bottom of the face drifts off into nothingness.

Good job on the Wizard.

Peeky,
I understood the thing about Queen Quillana - that it is she, but we should not be able to recognize her yet, so we can't see that the lady in the memories is black skinned. I will keep that in mind while working in color. Or you want me to show her hair also more afro-curly?

Please find attached the sketch with the new creature.

If you like the Wizard as he is now - I do not mind, can keep it like this. But I do not think I will have right to sign the prints, as the face is actually made by the other artist - I just copied it.

I have issues with internet now, so if it is not urgent, I would upload the final files for approved Wolf scene in a week. Is it Ok? If not, I will try to figure something out. I will bill you for it later accordingly.

Also as the Wolf scene is approved and the Wizard Memories scene is in the process, I can consider the next artwork - scene or concept. Tell me if you have priorities for my next task.

Thank you!

good evening Anna, thank you for your comments. And your attention to detail!

Long hair slightly afro, good idea please proceed.

I love the new creature. great job for sure.

Regarding the wizard. I disagree. I actually think your wizard is better than the one created. I would make one suggestion, to make a completely your own, If you look at his mouth, it is perfect, both in shape, lips, and teeth. This is not quite real world, I would twist one side as if he was curling lips or grimacing. Something to off-balance his mouth and make it look more realistic. Other than that I think you did a fantastic job with the wizard. I'm really happy with the end result.

As far as the wolf, I am not worried you can upload those when it works out for you. You're doing a great job and I am so glad that I engaged your services! do not forget to Bill extra for the changes that I've asked for you have done a great job and I want you to be properly compensated.

Peeky, thank you!

Sorry for the delay with the Wizard update, had some technical troubles this week. Please find attached the scene colored.
As there is no much background can be seen I decided not to add much of details there and mixed its stormy nature with the cloudy memories.

This is magnificent, Anna!  One change...slight I hope...the queen sitting in the throne scene. She needs to be black. (negro).  This has some exemplary plays of color and you used them very well to provide contrast and distinction between the scenes...great job.

Peeky, I really glad you like my work, thank you. It's also a pleasure to work with you!

Please find attached the scene with the Matriarch turned black. If it's Ok, I will bill you for both scenes together and send you the final files.

Btw, should I add text for the Wolf scene? The one about Toto and Manticore?

As agreed I would bill you for Wolves additional half of the price as it took me longer with changes ($XXX+$XXX), I will not charge more for Wizard as without the background it went fine ($XXX).
So adding my Guru fee it will be $XXX in total.

Yes, sure, I am keen to appear on your site! What should I provide for the bio?

Aug, 14 Peeky

How about a tad less black.  ??. And I will not critique it!

Yes Please bill me, but make it out for $XXX. You earned it!

Bio -   on the website www.oziian.com, check out the top tab - wizard was odd squad. You can read two bios currently there and create whatever you might like for yours.

Peeky,
please find attached the sketch as I imagined the scene. Tell me what you think.

I think it will be great if you substitute weird and or wonderful unknown creatures rather the more common swan-bird and lizards.Birds might be good with four or six wings of different hues...anything your imagination desires. since I can’t draw I can’t help much but they should be pretty creatures. You are very clever the way you used the statutes as fountains...very nice. I think this can be a masterpiece if we can find exotic characters to make it interesting..
